Two wrongs don’t make a right, but two Wrights made a private jet….

I love the ampersand. A couple examples:

Throw a quick “* html &” to target IE6 with a lil’ inline hack.

I’m working on a blog design where each post has a ul with the class “post-metadata”. A couple of the li’s need to be styled differently. So, beneath the li in the Sass, I can just target them with “&.post-comments” and pick up the entire selector right before it. So useful.

In addition to link pseudo-selectors (&:hover, &:active, etc.), it is great for &:first-child, &:last-child, &:before, &:after, etc.

And don’t forget things like targeting specific form labels and whatnot: &[for=email-address].

So many possibilities.

This is not meant to post to your page, but I don’t get to see you online that often. I thought you should know, that there are so many times when I remember your words describing it best.
